Protect Arizonans from Government Inaction on Homelessness
Ask your lawmaker to support SCR 1006
Join the Fight Against Government Inaction
Rampant homelessness is overtaking parts of Arizona as municipalities refuse to enforce laws against public camping, loitering, and intoxication.
The result has been:
a rise in violent crime
biohazardous pollution
property destruction
and even death.
The Solution: tell your lawmakers to vote YES on SCR 1006, the Taxpayer Protection Against Government Inaction Act, which aims to:
1. Provide Taxpayer Relief: Property owners will have the opportunity to claim refunds for the reduction in property value or expenses incurred due to government inaction in addressing the homeless crisis.
2. Encourage Municipal Action: The Act will incentivize local governments to take action by deducting refund amounts from a municipality's state shared revenue.
When the government fails to do its job, it should return that money to the taxpayers who have been forced to pick up the slack. SCR 1006 will soon be heard on the floor of the State Senate and we need you to take action before it comes to a vote.
Your voice matters. Contact your lawmakers and urge them to support the Taxpayer Protection against Government Inaction Act. Together, we can protect Arizonan families and businesses from the negative impacts of government inaction. Please feel free to customize the email below before sending it to your State Senator.
